  Dr. Parker is, without a doubt, the best orthopedic surgeon in the DMV. For some context, I am a 32 year old former athlete (baseball, football and track) who definitely fits into the "washed-up" category, though I still try to get to the gym around five times per week. My wife and I have a newborn babygirl that I am learning to chase around with a chronically sore right shoulder, back, and left knee. I have had seven total surgeries, including five on the left knee, and have seen doctors and surgeons from Connecticut down to DC that include specialists with the most amazing resumes you can imagine. I can confidently say that if you enjoy an active lifestyle but have the unfortunate luck to sustain an injury but aren't yet ready to give up your activity level, Dr. Parker is the man to see. His knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology combined with his ability to relate to his patients on a human level is what sets him apart from any other orthopod I have ever consulted with. His skill as a surgeon is only surpassed by his quality as a human being. Dr. Parker has performed my last two operations, on my left ankle and the aforementioned catastrophe that is my left knee. I have never felt better. I have an upcoming shoulder surgery which will be my second on that joint to repair the cuff and labrum. Instead of the typical dread that accompanies any visit to the surgeon, I am optimistic and look forward to feeling better. I always know that regardless of what condition I walk (limp) into his office in, I will walk (limp vanished) out knowing that I have the best in the business looking out for me.
  
  And if it sounds like I have a man-crush on him, that's because I do. And I'm not afraid to admit it. He's that good.
